Drum Majors Chosen for 2016 Season

At the recent February 22-24 camp Music City finalized selection of its drum majors for the upcoming season. Pictured are Carly McClendon from Jonesborough, TN; Lane French from Bowling Green, KY; Jeremiah Wooten from Franklin, TN and Jon Earl from Nashville, TN. Congrats to you all!

Composer/arranger Robert W. Smith was in attendance at the camp, and everyone marveled at the guidance he provided the corps. Listen to the brass and percussion perform “Coronation Fanfare,” an original work Robert wrote to kick off the corps’ production of “Coronation” which will also include his arrangement of “The Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra.” The herald trumpets to be incorporated are noticeably missing from this recording. And check out a ton of pictures from the February camp in the photo gallery on the corps’ Facebook page.

In case you haven’t heard, Music City is fielding a 150-member corps this summer including 80 brass! The corps still has a few brass and color guard openings. You can audition in person at our upcoming audition workshops to be held in Montgomery, AL at Saint James School on March 12 and in Concord, NC at Harris Road Middle School on March 19. Both audition workshops are from 10-5. Video auditions may also be submitted. Please submit an application in order to receive audition music and additional details. Sorry drummers, all percussion positions have been filled.
